Despite its impressive history, which has shaped all of Europe, Italy has become modern, although its natural beauty, wealth and historic heritage have remained unchanged where one would expect.

Even though all roads reputedly lead to Rome, you should make some stops on your journey to the “Eternal City”: the Italians are proud of their regional sights and specialities and offer a warm welcome. The charm and hospitality of the “Garden of Europe” will enchant you, quite apart from the cultural variety that Italy offers. For there is nothing in Italy that you cannot find in Europe’s upturned boot: Popes, painters, the finest espresso, calcio??, excellent poets and lyricists, political naïveté and self glorifying potentates. Italy’s dream like scenic variety seem tailor made for a novel and virtually no one can resist the lure of 3000 years of history, culture and gastronomy.
