LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN TAORMINA
Our partner school Babilonia is found in the heart of Taormina. The language school is housed in a dignified villa that is only 200 meters away from the Greek theatre. The school is surrounded by a 600 m² garden where students can meet up in the breaks or after lessons. Babilonia has very much its own character and has a pleasant and informal atmosphere. The classrooms are well equipped and the teaching staff put a lot of effort into teaching aspects of Italian culture in addition to the language. Therefore, the language school also has its own kitchen where courses in Italian cookery are carried out. There is also a cafeteria at the school where students can find sustenance. Thanks to the large choice of courses and the variety of leisure activities available on Sicily, this school appeals to people from many different age groups.
ACCOMMODATION
Babilonia will arrange accommodation in selected host families. All families are carefully selected by the school and inspected monthly. Many host families live within 15 minutes walk from the school. Participants have a choice of single or double rooms with breakfast, half or full board. During the high season in summer, host families book up early, and students are advised to do likewise. The school also offers accommodation in apartments, pensions and hotels.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The school organizes regular recreational activities, including Italian films, music evenings, theatre, information and cultural evenings and guided tours in Taormina and vicinity. The schools own activity coordinator is happy to assist in planning your recreational activities.
