LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN MONTREUX
The Ecole Suisse de Langue in Montreux is located in the city centre directly on the lakeside promenade. Most restaurants, shops, sports clubs, the casino and the station are within 10 minutes walk and several buses stop right in front of the school. The premises are located on the 2nd floor, where there are 6 classrooms of varying sizes, one with a view of the lake. A computer room (with free Internet access), a media room, a television with video/DVD, a lounge with a microwave and table football as well as a small lounge with a coffee machine and snack machine round out the school’s modern infrastructure. There is also a small balcony with a view of the sea and the Alps, as well as a cool, shaded terrace, on which students can relax during the breaks. Teaching using the latest methods is done in classes with a maximum of 12 participants.
ACCOMMODATION
The school has a good network of carefully selected host families. In general, they can be easily reached by train or bus within half an hour or less. A few families are within walking distance of the school. Students are accommodated in single rooms with half board. The school also has its own, recently renovated student apartment with a total of four double rooms (can also be used as singles). Other types of accommodation, including hotels and guesthouses can also be organized on request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The school offers an organized recreational program every week, including cultural, social and sports activities. There is also a fitness centre directly behind the school. Winter sports are available in the nearby Alps, to which the school also organizes excursions.
