CORK LANGUAGE CENTRE
The Galway Cultural Institute is housed in a modern building within the Salthill-district only a 10 minutes walk away from the city centre. The district was voted to be Ireland’s prettiest suburb, because it boasts nice residential areas, great sports facilities as well as the possibility to go on long walks along the ocean promenade. From the modern building of the language school you have a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. GCI has light and spacious classrooms. The students are welcome to use the learning centre, seminar rooms, a library and the computer lab with 20 computers as well as free internet. There is also free wireless internet access throughout the school building. A large common room, the Ozone coffee shop as well as a nice garden complete the school’s infrastructure.
The school offers single rooms at the homes of carefully selected host families with half-board (breakfast and dinner) during the week as well as full-board at the weekend. A few host families live only a few minutes walk away from the school, whereas others can be reached by bus within a maximum 15 minutes. Alternatively, dormitories can be booked. There you live in a single room within an apartment where you share a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room with 2 to 3 other people. Further details on accommodation as well as hotels, bed & breakfast, etc. available upon request.
The Galway Cultural Institute offers various activities and trips. The school organizes visits to the ballet and theatre, city walking tours or bus tours, movie nights, sports activities like football, golf, squash or floorball. You can also book trips to Connemara, the Burren, Dublin or Westport.
