Language course in Airlie Beach / Whitsundays:
SUBTROPICAL ISLAND PARADISE
Airlie Beach, embedded between the mountains of Conway National Park and the crystal clear Coral Sea is an ideal point of departure for discovering the ever popular Whitsunday islands. This group of 74 idyllic green islands form an unbelievable marine paradise, the kind one sees only in travel brochures. The subtropical location- the group of islands is on the same latitude as Tahiti- ensures that the sun shines all year round and the climate is always pleasant.
WORLD FAMOUS SANDY BEACHES
The immediate proximity of the Great Barrier Reef and the challenging island cruises make the Whitsunday islands one of the most popular destinations, not only for Australian vacation makers. The world famous Whitehaven Beach, for example, is a must see for visitors: eleven kilometres of first class white sandy beach and turquoise-coloured sea. Whitehaven Beach is also a protected national park, meaning that no houses or hotels can be built nearby. Dolphins and giant turtles are part of the magnificent natural spectacle that unfolds on the beach in front of the very eyes of nature lovers.
A PARADISE FOR WATER RATS
Airlie Beach is a little town with some 6000 inhabitants that offers snorkelers, divers, sailors, surfers and other “water rats” a glorious environment. Most of the activities on land are concentrated in one street in Airlie Beach: Shute Harbour Street, host of popular restaurants, bars, pubs and shops. This is also the street where people get together for a beer in the evening and make plans for the following day.
