EC ENGLISH LANGUAGE CENTRES
EC Brighton was established in 1982 and has a standing tradition of successful tuition. The internationally acknowledged language school can accommodate up to 400 students. The attractive school building in Georgian style is situated only a few metres away from the promenade and Brighton’s major attractions – the Pier and the Royal Pavilion – are within walking distance. In immediate vicinity one also finds several shopping facilities, restaurants and bars. In addition to the 34 classrooms, in the school premises there is also a room for self-study, four comfortable student lounges and a business lounge. In the three well equipped computer rooms, the students are free to write emails and surf the Net free of charge. Free wireless Internet is available to the students as well.
ACCOMMODATION
The school carefully selects its host families and remains in personal contact with them. All of the hot families can be reached by public transport within 20 to 50 minutes. Both single and double room with half board are on offer. “Executive” host families offer students single rooms with their own private bathroom. For language learner’s who would like a bit more independence, the school finds rooms in other types of accommodation.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Students at the EC Brighton don’t know what it’s like to be bored. The school maintains a varied program of free time activities which caters to everyone. The program includes basketball or Salsa lessons for sporty students, visits to Madame Tussauds for people who like a bit of culture and excursions to Oxford, Windsor and Cambridge for those who like travelling. Wonderful amusements such as the famous Brighton Pier can also be found close to the school.
