MAJESTIC MOUNTAINS

The French-speaking regions of Switzerland are located in the west of the country, on the border to France. They stretch from the Jura in the North, right down to the Lower Valais. A language trip to Switzerland will introduce you to a wonderful mix of mountains, idyllic countryside and modern cities. Hiking is a popular pastime in Switzerland. And it's no wonder, as it brings you face to face with majestic mountain vistas and deep-blue lakes. Stop off at one of the charming mountain huts on the way and sample some national delicacies. Our Swiss language schools are located on Lake Geneva where many of the surrounding hillsides are covered with vines. The Lavaux Vineyard Terraces provide incredible views and are designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

SWANKY CITIES

French-speaking Switzerland is a wonderful place to learn French. And it is just a stone's throw from a whole other world, on the other side of the "Röstigraben" – as the language and cultural border is known by the Swiss Germans. Geneva and Lausanne are the largest cities in French-speaking Switzerland. They are modern, of international importance and boast many cultural attractions as well as a vibrant nightlife. The city centres feature medieval buildings, charming little alleyways and cafés. Montreux is a gem of a place on Lake Geneva. Huge mountains tower up around this pretty town on the water's edge. Each summer, the world-famous "Montreux Jazz Festival" is held against this enchanting backdrop, attracting over 200,000 visitors from all over the world.
